Alleluia opens with a brisk, natural burst of crushed green myrtle. Rather than blasting heavy church smoke immediately, the top notes feel surprisingly airy, fresh, and aromatic, carrying a herbal snap that clears the senses before the deeper balsamic resins begin to warm up on your skin.

After about twenty minutes, the initial green herbal freshness softens as the heart notes emerge. Frankincense introduces a clean, slightly peppery smoke, while dark myrrh adds an earthy, balsamic thickness. In the deep dry-down, a smooth amber accord surfaces, transforming the smoky incense into a cozy, golden skin scent.

On bare skin, Alleluia provides a reliable 6 to 8 hours of longevity, with the warmest resin notes lingering intimately toward the end. On clothing, wool scarves, and cotton shirts, the frankincense and amber fixatives cling much longer, often remaining clearly detectable for more than 24 hours.

Alleluia projects outward about two to three feet during the first hour and a half, creating a pleasant personal aroma. By hour three, it settles into an intimate scent bubble roughly 6 to 12 inches from the body, making it noticeable without disturbing colleagues in close quarters.

Alleluia performs best in cool, crisp weather, making fall and winter its ideal seasons. The dry resins and rich amber need lower temperatures to unfold comfortably. In high heat and humidity, the resinous balsamic weight can feel slightly heavy, though chilly spring evenings also work nicely.

Because it remains calm and understated rather than aggressively smoky, Alleluia is exceptionally versatile. It is less suited for loud, sweaty nightclubs where sweet clubbing fragrances dominate.

Alleluia is completely unisex. It lacks the sugary vanilla or sweet florals typical of feminine perfumes, while steering clear of the harsh synthetic woods or heavy musk found in traditional masculine colognes. Anyone who appreciates authentic tree resins, botanical herbs, and calming scents can wear it comfortably.

While Avignon is famous for its cold, gothic, high-mass cathedral smoke, Alleluia takes a warmer, more rustic Mediterranean path. The presence of green myrtle and sweet amber softens Alleluia, making it far more casual, sunlit, and wearable for everyday settings than the austere Avignon.

Alleluia was released as an eau de toilette in a 100 ml bottle format. Considering its quality botanical character and authentic frankincense and myrrh extracts, it offers substantial niche artistry, though secondary market prices can be high due to its limited availability and French boutique origin.

Alleluia layers wonderfully with clean cedarwood or sandalwood scents to accentuate its dry architectural woods. If you prefer extra sweetness, applying a sheer, non-edible vanilla base underneath helps round out the balsamic myrrh.
