B Scent is one of those Lush perfumes that makes its point early. The opening is bright with lemon and bergamot, but it is not a simple citrus freshener. Very quickly, the fennel starts to show, and that one note changes the whole mood. Instead of staying breezy and familiar, B Scent turns herbal, a little quirky, and more individual than its sunny start suggests.

At the centre, rose, lavender and jasmine give it a floral structure that feels recognisable, even slightly old-fashioned in a good way. This is not a dense white floral or a syrupy rose perfume. The flowers feel lifted by the citrus and kept in check by the aromatic edge. On skin, the effect is often fresh, clean and lightly powdery, with a woody musky base underneath that helps it stay tidy rather than lush in the voluptuous sense.

The fennel is the deciding factor. On the right skin, it adds a cooling, green, almost elegant twist that makes the fragrance feel airy and distinctive. On the wrong skin, or for someone who dislikes herbal anisic notes, it can come across much less pleasantly. That is why B Scent has a more divisive reputation than its note list might suggest. If you are expecting a soft, easy citrus floral, the herbal dryness may catch you off guard.

In wear, B Scent usually feels best suited to daytime and warmer weather. Spring is an especially good fit because the perfume has that fresh-air quality of citrus peel, blooming flowers and green herbs moving together at once. Summer also suits it well, especially if you want something more interesting than a standard cologne-style fresh scent. It can work in other seasons, but its brightest qualities are easier to appreciate in mild to warm conditions.

Performance looks mixed but respectable. Most signs point to moderate longevity with a fair chance of pushing into long-lasting territory on some skin, and projection that tends to sit in the moderate range with a stronger opening. That profile makes sense for the smell itself. It is present, but not usually heavy in a thick or syrupy way. The fresher notes soften first, while the musk and woods keep the scent going.

There is also some useful context around the perfume. B Scent began as the house scent for Be Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful, then returned later under the broader Lush umbrella. That history fits the perfume well. It smells like a bridge between a playful boutique floral and something more eccentric and aromatic. If you already enjoy Lush when the brand leans a little strange, but not completely wild, B Scent sits in an interesting middle ground.

The best reason to try B Scent is character. It does not smell generic, and it does not flatten into a standard citrus floral after ten minutes. The best reason to hesitate is the same. Fennel, dry herbs and a slightly vintage floral tone will not suit every taste. Sample first, especially if you are sensitive to sharp green notes. For the right wearer, though, B Scent feels bright, offbeat and surprisingly charming.
