Aramis Intuition is a modern aromatic fougere built around a simple, familiar structure. Grapefruit gives it a brisk opening, lavender carries the scent through the middle, and the base leans dry with vetiver, patchouli and a touch of leather. On paper that sounds classic, and in wear it seems to land somewhere between clean barbershop freshness and mainstream designer versatility.

The first impression is likely to be the easiest part to like. Grapefruit adds a crisp citrus edge without turning the fragrance into a sharp citrus cologne, and the lavender keeps it recognisably masculine. There is also an iris-like softness from the orris root that takes a little of the roughness out of the composition. That matters, because Intuition appears to be aiming for smoothness and wearability more than drama.

As it settles, the fragrance moves away from fresh citrus and into a drier woody-earthy phase. Vetiver and patchouli seem to do most of the work here, with leather acting more like texture than a bold statement note. Do not expect a dark, smoky leather fragrance. The leather feels restrained, giving the dry down a slightly firm masculine edge rather than changing the scent's whole direction. That makes it easier to wear, but also less distinctive if you are chasing something memorable.

This is where Intuition becomes easier to place. It appears to fit the broad category of mass-appealing fresh masculine designer scents, the kind people reach for when they want to smell clean, put together and uncomplicated. That is useful if your priority is office wear, daily rotation, or a fragrance that does not ask much from the room around you. It is less exciting if you already own several fragrances in this space and want a stronger signature.

Performance looks moderate rather than standout. The available wear data points to moderate longevity and moderate sillage, which usually means a pleasant scent bubble early on, then a quieter presence later. That aligns with the broader character of the fragrance. Intuition does not seem built to dominate, and for some buyers that will be exactly the point. For others, especially those expecting strong projection or all-day impact, it may feel too restrained.

The biggest question is value and distinctiveness. The scent profile sounds easy to live with, but buyer-facing impressions also point to a fairly generic designer direction. If you enjoy blue-adjacent fresh woody fragrances and want something smooth, masculine and uncomplicated, Intuition makes sense. If you already own the obvious staples in that category, this looks more like a sample-first fragrance than an urgent purchase.
