That little streak of tartness gives the top a different shape before the perfume moves into darker woods, smoke and amber. Bergamot is listed too, but this does not read like a bright citrus fragrance. Any freshness is brief and mostly there to lift the heavier materials.

Once it settles, the scent becomes more recognisably smoky, leathery and woody, with oud and patchouli adding depth. The animalic side seems present, but not wild in every wear. In terms of use, this is best suited to cooler weather, evenings and anyone already comfortable with smoky oud fragrances.
