It still feels approachable, but the overall mood is darker, sweeter and more autumnal than the rest of the line tends to suggest.

On first spray, the fruit comes through quickly. Pear is the clearest part of the opening, giving the perfume a ripe sweetness, while mandarin adds brightness without turning it into a fresh citrus scent. Jasmine is listed in the top and several wearers pick up a tea-like floral nuance rather than a loud white-flower effect. That matters, because Lovely Noir does not smell especially airy or sparkling for long. It moves fairly quickly toward the richer heart.

The centre of the fragrance is where it becomes more interesting. Benzoin and sandalwood give it a smooth ambered warmth, and this is the stage that seems to win people over. A few reviews describe the scent as a non-vanilla vanilla, which makes sense even though vanilla is not in the official notes. Vetiver in the base adds a dry earthy edge that keeps Lovely Noir from becoming flat amber syrup, but it can also tilt the scent a little less overtly feminine on certain skin. If you strongly prefer delicate florals, that is worth knowing before you buy.

Performance seems solid for the style and price. It usually reads as moderate in projection with moderate to good longevity, which suits the perfume well. It is present enough to enjoy but does not seem built to dominate a room. Several wearers specifically praise it as an office-friendly cold-weather scent, and that sounds accurate. The warmth is noticeable, but the structure stays wearable rather than dense.

What really gives Lovely Noir its appeal is value. This is the kind of affordable amber fragrance that can feel richer than expected, especially if you enjoy woody sweetness and a slightly dressed-up drydown. It is not especially original, and a few people find the amber profile too generic or too synthetic, so it is not a universal crowd-pleaser.
