Magic Mushrooms is one of those perfumes that tells you very quickly whether you are in or out. On paper, the structure looks sharp and intriguing, grapefruit, cardamom and cypress over cannabis, mushroom, cassis and a mossy vetiver base. On skin, it reads as a green aromatic scent first, then slowly opens into something earthier, stranger and more humid. The name is provocative, but the effect is less about novelty and more about atmosphere.

The opening has a brisk, slightly bitter freshness. Grapefruit gives a tart lift, cardamom adds dry spice, and cypress keeps the top airy and coniferous rather than juicy. It does not smell like a standard citrus aromatic, though. Very early on, the greener and darker parts start pushing through, so the fresh opening feels more like a doorway than the main event.

In the heart, Magic Mushrooms becomes much more distinctive. The cannabis accord, herbal notes, thyme, davana and lavender create a scented haze that feels botanical and slightly wild. The mushroom note does not come across as edible or creamy. Instead, it adds a damp, earthy shadow, something closer to wet soil, shaded bark and the inside of a forest after rain. Cassis and ylang-ylang stop it from becoming too austere, but they do not turn it fruity or floral in any obvious way. This remains an aromatic green composition with an unusual fungal-earth effect running through it.

The dry-down is where the fragrance settles into its real identity. Moss, patchouli and vetiver give it a grounded, rooty base, while the aquatic facet keeps the composition from becoming completely dry or dusty. That contrast matters. Without it, the scent could feel too heavy. With it, Magic Mushrooms keeps a moist, cool texture that supports the woodland idea from the middle phase. It often comes across more textured than smooth, and more conceptual than traditionally beautiful.

Performance looks solid. The wear data points toward long-lasting territory, with sillage that usually sits in the moderate to strong range. That fits the style of the perfume. It is assertive enough to make an impression, but not typically a room-filling powerhouse. For most people, spring is likely the easiest season for it, when the green and mossy facets feel most natural. In very hot weather, the herbal-earthy core may feel dense, and in formal settings it may read too eccentric.

This is also where the buying decision gets simple. If you enjoy unusual niche greens, earthy woods, herbal textures and fragrances that feel like a place rather than a grooming product, Magic Mushrooms is worth sampling. If you want sweetness, polish, obvious sensuality or a safe daily signature, it is much harder to recommend. The mushroom and cannabis styling give it character, but they also make it a clear sample-first scent. For the right wearer, that oddity is exactly the point.
