This fragrance is dominated by a heavy, animalic leather accord. You will detect sharp bursts of black pepper and blackberry in the opening, which slowly settle into a resinous, smoky, and floral heart. It feels like a vintage, high-quality leather glove treated with rare balsams and aged woods, perfect for a cold winter night.

The opening is a complex fizz of aldehydes, lemon, and tart berry notes like raspberry. As it progresses, the scent becomes much deeper, shifting into a heavy blend of honey, tobacco, and jasmine. The dry-down settles into a persistent, dark, and resinous base of castoreum and oud that stays on your clothes for days.

I would not recommend this for a typical office environment. The animalic castoreum and civet notes have a high projection and a bold, challenging character that might be too intense for enclosed spaces. It is much better suited for evening events, formal winter occasions, or solitary walks during a crisp, cold autumn day.

Longevity is exceptional. Because of the heavy base of labdanum, patchouli, and birch tar, it easily lasts over twelve hours on my skin. Even after a shower, I can often smell the faint, musky remnants of the sandalwood and leather. You definitely do not need to over-spray this one.
