The incense becomes less aggressive, the woods settle, and the patchouli-vetiver pairing gives the scent a more composed character. Some reviewers even find a slightly barbershop-like cleanliness under the darker materials, which keeps it from becoming fully tarry or dirty.

The main divide is in the oud itself. Supporters see it as a refined western-style oud composition with a polished niche feel. Critics find it too synthetic, too medicinal, or not convincing as a true oud experience. That split matters. If you want a plush, rich, naturalistic oud with obvious depth and warmth, this may feel too abstract.
