The opening looks like it belongs to jasmine first. The brand also mentions motia, which supports the same white floral impression, creamy, slightly luminous and naturally rich rather than crisp or citrusy. From there, oud appears to take control quickly. Because oud is listed in both the heart and base, this does not read like a perfume where the floral top disappears into something completely different. It reads more like jasmine introducing the theme, then stepping back while the oud stays present through the rest of the wear.

What keeps the structure from feeling flat is saffron. In fragrances like this, saffron often brings dryness, warmth and a faintly leathery edge, and that lines up with the accord profile here. The metallic and leather facets suggest the perfume may feel more textured than plush. That matters if you are deciding between a smooth, rosy Middle Eastern style and something a little sharper, drier and more tailored. Rafia appears closer to the second camp.

This also helps explain who it may suit. Rafia does not look aimed at someone wanting an easy fresh scent or a dessert-like amber. It makes more sense for a wearer who likes floral oud compositions with structure and restraint. The limited-edition positioning and emphasis on natural ingredients reinforce that more niche, selective feel. Even so, the note list is readable enough that it should not feel obscure for the sake of being obscure.

Performance is the one area where caution matters. There is not enough reliable wearer feedback here to make strong claims about projection, longevity or trail. Given the materials and accord profile, many buyers will expect a fragrance with presence, but expectation is not the same as proof. This is one to sample if performance is important to you, especially if you are sensitive to assertive oud or want something office-safe.

As a buying proposition, Rafia looks most appealing for someone who enjoys jasmine and oud in the same frame and wants saffron to dry the composition out rather than sweeten it. It seems best suited to evenings, cooler weather and occasions where a warmer, more polished scent feels appropriate. If your taste runs airy, casual or highly versatile, this may feel too focused. If you like your florals wrapped in smoke, spice and wood, it is the kind of profile worth exploring.
