The opening looks brief and functional rather than sparkling for long. Bergamot should add some lift and clarity, but the fragrance seems designed to move fairly quickly toward its richer center. Ambergris in the top may give a lightly textured, airy-salty nuance, though this does not read like a marine perfume. The mood appears more elegant and warm than fresh.

In the heart, rose and jasmine sit inside a denser framework of patchouli, amber, sandalwood, cedar and rosewood. Vanilla, musk and tonka point toward a soft, sweet and powdery base, while vetiver keeps it from becoming too loose or overly creamy. From the accord profile, expect warmth first, then woody and balsamic facets, with enough powder and musk to give it a finished, almost dressed texture on skin. If you like fragrances that feel composed and enveloping, that should be the main attraction.

Wearability depends on your taste for density. The limited available performance data suggests long-lasting wear and strong sillage, but the evidence base is small, so that should be treated carefully rather than as a guarantee. Still, the note pyramid itself supports the idea of a fragrance with presence. This is unlikely to behave like a transparent everyday mist. Rectina may suit floral lovers who want more amber and wood underneath their flowers, and amber lovers who still want a recognizable feminine core. What the composition does promise is a fuller, warmer style with a classical spine and a sweet spicy tone rather than a trendy sugary one.
