The opening is likely where the fragrance feels most open and readable. Lemon gives it a bright first impression, but this does not look like a fresh citrus scent for long. Saffron and cardamom quickly start shaping the tone, adding warmth and dryness, while rose and jasmine keep the composition from becoming flat or purely abrasive. Those florals seem less decorative than structural here. They probably smooth the transition into the darker base and stop the leather theme from feeling one-dimensional.

What makes Regent Leather interesting is that the leather effect appears to come from the whole construction, not just one obvious note. The strongest listed accords are musky and animalic, with warm spicy, woody, powdery, metallic, and leather facets all playing a role. That points to a scent that may feel rough-edged, a little mineral, and slightly lived-in, rather than buttery or polished. The metallic nuance is especially notable because it can give leather perfumes a sharper, colder surface, almost like worn hardware against warm skin and fabric.

The base looks dense and characterful. Musk, cedar, patchouli, gurjan balsam, labdanum, vanilla, and animalic notes suggest depth, residue, and a lasting sense of warmth. The vanilla here does not read like it would turn the fragrance into something sweet and cozy. Instead, it likely softens the sharper corners just enough to keep the scent wearable. This is probably not the kind of leather fragrance people reach for when they want something easy, clean, or instantly likable. It looks aimed more at wearers who enjoy tension in a perfume, where floral notes, spice, musk, and animalic effects all pull in slightly different directions. That can be rewarding if you like fragrances with shape and mood. It can also be a drawback if you prefer a smoother, more modern leather with obvious sweetness or softness.

Still, the materials and accord balance suggest a fragrance that may wear with noticeable texture even after the brighter opening fades. Regent Leather seems best approached as a sample-first scent. If you enjoy dry saffron leather, musky woods, and a touch of animalic bite, it looks genuinely worth trying. If you want a clean office-safe leather, this is less likely to be the right fit.
