That matters if you are choosing between a creamy comfort fragrance and something more tailored. Santal's Kiss looks closer to the second category. The leather note does not read as a rugged leather statement on paper. Instead, it seems to add a suede-like grain, giving the fragrance body and a faintly dressed-up mood. Amber in the base should soften the woods without pushing the fragrance into obvious sweetness.
