On paper, it looks like a perfume trying to balance beauty and unease, with a polished fruit-rose opening set against darker, stranger materials underneath.

The opening is likely where many wearers will decide whether it is for them. Lychee suggests a bright, glossy sweetness, but truffle and the blood accord push the fragrance away from anything pretty or playful. Instead of reading as juicy and easy, the top probably feels fruity in a darker, more surreal way, with a mineral-metallic edge that gives the composition its siren theme. If you like fragrances that create mood as much as smell good in a conventional sense, that tension may be the appeal.

As it settles, the floral heart looks richer than romantic. Rose de Mai and Rose Otto usually bring depth and natural fullness, but here they are surrounded by incense, patchouli and animalic elements. That means the rose is more likely to feel shadowed, smoky and textured than soft or dewy. This should not be mistaken for a classic rose soliflore or even a plush rose-amber. Oud, ambergris, civet, patchouli and incense suggest weight, depth and persistence in character, even if exact wear performance is still unclear. The amber, mineral, metallic and animalic accord profile reinforces that idea. Rather than drying down into smooth sweetness, Siren’s Song likely keeps some bite and texture through the later stages. That is good news if you want a scent with personality, but less ideal if you prefer tidy transitions or a polished designer-style finish.

This also looks like a fragrance with a fairly specific audience. It may appeal to people who enjoy challenging rose-oud compositions, unconventional niche perfumery, or perfumes that lean gothic, ritualistic or slightly feral. It is probably less suited to someone shopping for an office-safe signature scent or a soft everyday rose. Even the more attractive facets, like lychee and rose, seem designed to serve the darker idea rather than make the fragrance broadly friendly.

For buyers, the main advice is simple. Sample first. Siren’s Song has an imaginative note list, but it also has enough unusual material to behave very differently from what the words alone might suggest. If the idea of metallic rose, smoky resins, earthy truffle and animalic woods sounds exciting, it could be a rewarding find. If not, there are easier ways to wear rose and oud.
