Ete by Artist'o is a 2025 release built around a contrast that sounds appealing on paper, tart fruit and citrus at the top, then spice, powder, and woods underneath. The opening note list points to cherry, bergamot, lime, and basil, but it is the cardamom, ginger, and black pepper that likely set the tone. This does not look like a watery or carefree summer scent. It reads more like summer interpreted through warmth on skin, evening air, and polished spice.

The most interesting part of the composition is how it seems to move away from the fruit fairly quickly. Cherry is present, but the accord profile suggests it is not the loudest element for most of the wear. Warm spicy, amber, violet, and powdery facets appear stronger overall. That gives Ete a more tailored feel than many modern cherry fragrances, which often lean syrupy, boozy, or overtly gourmand. Here, the fruit seems more likely to add brightness and color than sweetness for sweetness's sake.

In the heart, violet, jasmine, clove, and cedarwood should shape the perfume into something smoother and more textured. Violet can bring a soft cosmetic powder effect, jasmine adds lift, and clove keeps the spice running through the middle rather than limiting it to the opening. Cedarwood helps draw the scent inward, making it feel drier and more structured. If you enjoy perfumes that become a little softer and more velvety after an energetic start, this part may be the draw.

The base is where Ete looks most substantial. Cypriol, amber, tonka, sandalwood, vanilla, vetiver, musk, and patchouli suggest a warm, woody finish with gentle sweetness and some earthy depth. That combination usually gives a fragrance more presence than the name might imply. Instead of a sparkling daytime citrus, you are likely getting a spicy amber wood with a fruity top and a powdery floral bridge.

Because this is such a new fragrance, broad wear impressions are still limited, so the safest read is to judge it by construction. On paper, it seems best for evening use, transitional weather, cooler summer nights, or anyone who prefers richer fragrances even when the weather is not cold. It may also work for people who find mainstream cherry releases too sweet and want something drier, more floral, and more wooded.

The main caution is fit. If you want a bright vacation-style scent, Ete may feel too warm, spiced, or powdery. If you like cherry as a bold, juicy centerpiece, this may also read more restrained than expected. But if a spicy violet-amber structure with a cherry accent sounds appealing, Ete has a clear identity and looks more thoughtful than trend-driven.
