Baz by The Spirit of Dubai hits skin with a massive blast of dark leather, cracked black pepper, and bitter coffee. It settles into a heavy resinous core dominated by smoky incense, myrrh, and sweet plum. As the hours pass, dense agarwood, civet, and raw castoreum emerge to create a dry, animalic base that stays noticeable until the next morning. This is an uncompromising winter fragrance built for frigid evenings and formal dark-tie gatherings. It demands cold air to keep its thick balsam and earthy patchouli under control. One spray on a wool coat lingers for days. Show less

Shanghai 1930 opens with a crisp burst of green tea and tart violet leaves before turning lush and sweet. Tart plum and green mango cut through the initial spray, keeping the fruity top from feeling syrupy. Within twenty minutes, the opening yields to a dense heart of tuberose, jasmine sambac, and buttery ylang-ylang. As the floral heart settles into the skin, warm sandalwood, tonka bean, and myrrh create a smooth, resinous anchor. The contrast between fresh tea leaves and narcotic white flowers gives this perfume a distinct vintage feel. It suits cool spring evenings and crisp autumn days when you want a rich floral scent with strong presence. Show less
