Byzantium opens with a bright mix of grapefruit, bergamot and pineapple, sharpened by pink pepper, then settles into a woody floral heart with rose, jasmine, cedarwood and patchouli. The dry-down looks cleaner and earthier, with oakmoss, amber, musk and modern woods. On paper, it reads like a fresh woody scent with some sweetness and texture rather than a heavy oriental style.
