Mood Indigo by Moth and Rabbit Perfumes opens with a dry splash of herbal chamomile and a prickle of spicy red pepper before settling into a deep pool of sacred incense, cedar, and warm amber. Created by perfumer Mark Buxton, the scent balances airy, aquatic water lily in the heart with a shadowy base of patchouli and smooth sandalwood. It smells like antique paper, cold stone church chapels, and ink drawn with a fountain pen on thick parchment. You get a calm, meditative cloud that feels contemplative rather than loud or aggressive. It wears best during crisp autumn mornings, cool rainy afternoons, and quiet evenings when you want a grounded, woody aura around you.
