Cœr de Minuit opens with a sharp, bubbly rush of clean aldehydes and tart homemade blackberry jam before settling into a warm spice chest of crushed cloves, cinnamon, and fresh ginger. The fragrance quickly moves into an antique floral heart of spicy carnation, powdery violet, and earthy iris root, giving it a rich, velvety feel reminiscent of classic French perfumery. In the deep dry-down, creamy Indonesian sandalwood combines with smoky frankincense and musky ambrette seeds for a cozy, lingering finish. Handcrafted at a stout thirty-one percent extrait concentration and naturally tinted purple with dragon's blood resin, this is a brooding, full-bodied perfume made for brisk autumn walks and late-night winter gatherings. Baz by The Spirit of Dubai hits skin with a massive blast of dark leather, cracked black pepper, and bitter coffee. It settles into a heavy resinous core dominated by smoky incense, myrrh, and sweet plum. As the hours pass, dense agarwood, civet, and raw castoreum emerge to create a dry, animalic base that stays noticeable until the next morning. This is an uncompromising winter fragrance built for frigid evenings and formal dark-tie gatherings. It demands cold air to keep its thick balsam and earthy patchouli under control. One spray on a wool coat lingers for days. Show less
