Balenciaga Le Dix Perfume opens with a dry fizz of aldehydes and sharp lemon, a cold start that quickly melts on warm skin. As it settles, it reveals a powdery heart of lilac and ylang-ylang, creating a texture reminiscent of expensive French milled soap. The base leans on civet and warm sandalwood, adding a salty, animalic depth that stops the florals from feeling too sweet. It suits collectors of historic fragrances who want a vintage feel for formal evening wear in cooler weather. This is an editorial classic that warrants a sample if you appreciate animalic powder. Gulbadan by Tola opens with a bright burst of plum, peach, and pineapple, balanced by a green undercurrent and star anise. The initial sweetness quickly settles into an expansive heart of ylang-ylang, rose, and jasmine. Underneath this floral bouquet lies a base of agarwood, sandalwood, and patchouli, which gives the scent a warm, resinous depth. Perfect for cooler spring days and formal evenings, this fragrance offers a rich experience that avoids the typical heavy oud cliches. It suits enthusiasts who appreciate complex blends and is best explored as a sample before committing to a full bottle. Show less
