Talisman by Balenciaga opens with a dense pour of rum and dried fruits, immediately signaling a departure from standard clean florality. The initial warmth feels thick and sticky, cutting through cool autumn air with a syrupy weight. As the scent settles, ylang-ylang and carnation introduce a spicy, classic floral texture that keeps the sweetness from feeling juvenile. On the skin, the dry down leans heavily on beeswax, sandalwood, and patchouli, creating a dry woody base that lingers for hours. This fragrance suits collectors who appreciate bold nineties structures, making it a stellar choice for cold winter evenings when you want a rich, enveloping presence. It remains a distinct vintage bottle that is best sampled before chasing down rare bottles. Show less
