The initial blast hits fast. Press Gurwitz Perfumerie No. 13 delivers a sharp burst of dry incense, bitter wood smoke, and resinous agarwood oud before settling into green birch leaf and sweet amber. Do not overspray this. The opening carries a brisk solvent lift that burns off within minutes, revealing damp tobacco leaf and earthy patchouli over an intimate musk base. It feels austere and rugged. Designed primarily for crisp fall afternoons and cold winter nights, this scent projects moderately for two hours before hugging the skin quietly. A dry wood profile rules here. Show less

Signature X opens with bright citrus, pink pepper and nutmeg, then moves into a darker mix of cardamom, saffron, juniper and dry woods. The dry-down looks built around amber, leather, incense and oud, so it should suit someone who likes a spicy masculine scent with a smoky, textured base. This reads more evening than daytime, and more cool weather than hot weather. Show less

Neandertal Dark 2015 opens with a bitter crunch of green leaves, cold pine needles, and crushed pink pepper. Grapefruit and ginger give the opening a tart bite that cuts through humid air. Within twenty minutes, the initial brightness subsides as iodine seaweed, dry caraway seeds, and smoky incense rise from the heart. The base settles into raw agarwood, dark leather, and earthy vetiver. Labdanum and patchouli build a dense, mossy floor that stays grounded on skin for hours. It smells like wet forest soil, cold stone, and smoldering wood smoke on a rainy November afternoon. Show less
