Artisan Oud by Anfar 1950 opens with an intense blast of dark agarwood and resinous incense that immediately sets a heavy Oriental Woody tone. As the initial cloud calms, warm saffron and smoky birch blend into sticky benzoin tears, creating a leathery, balsamic core on skin. The late dry-down reveals a surprising tartness from ripe raspberry paired against dry amberwood and a faint herbal touch of geranium. Designed by Ahmedullah Anfar in 2023, this unisex composition favors crisp autumn evenings and formal winter gatherings where bold projection cuts cleanly through cold outdoor air. Show less

Wallachian Perfumes MIRIFICUS opens with an aggressive burst of roasted coffee, tart blackcurrant, and spicy saffron before settling into a dense floral heart of dark rose and powder-dusted iris. Perfumer Arturetto Landi constructed this 2024 unisex scent around a heavy base of raw oud, smoky incense, Nagarmotha, and salty ambergris, softened slightly by sweet vanilla and brown sugar. It projects with noticeable force during cold autumn nights and formal winter occasions, cutting easily through frigid outdoor air. While the top notes flash bright fruit and espresso, the long dry down turns deeply balsamic, earthy, and leathery. Show less

Sacred Oud opens with a crisp burst of tart raspberry paired with sweet rose. The sweetness quickly gives way to a smoky heart dominated by dry incense, earthy saffron, and a touch of golden benzoin resin. It smells dark, rich, and distinctly Middle Eastern, leaning into a classic rose-oud architecture with an amber backbone. As it settles, the fragrance shifts into a leathery, wood-heavy base. Wild agarwood and smoky birch wood take center stage, anchored by warm amber. It wears best in cold weather and crisp winter evenings, where the resinous warmth cuts through chilly air. Sample this first if you want a bold, resinous oud with a fruity-floral opening. Show less
