Neesh Perfumes Luxe Aoud opens with an unusual clash between herbal chamomile, bitter black pepper, and dark black rose. Instead of rushing into thick sweetness, perfumer Kevin Mathys lets the dry aromatic spice simmer against tart geranium and cassia bourbon. As the fragrance settles onto skin, the floral edges pull back to expose a dusty, resinous base of cumin, styrax, and medicinal oud. Sandalwood and labdanum anchor the late drydown with dry warmth rather than heavy syrup.
