Cassini opens with a heavy blast of classic white florals, dominated by tuberose and gardenia, before settling into a warm, spicy base of incense and oakmoss. This is a complex, rich scent that demands cold weather and formal evenings to truly shine. Unlike modern, sugary sweet perfumes, it carries a deep animalic undertone of civet and leather that keeps it grounded and slightly mysterious. It is best suited for experienced collectors who appreciate the bold, structural style of late twentieth-century perfumery. We recommend securing a sample first, as its potent, dark green and floral character can easily overwhelm unprepared noses. Show less

Opium Collector Edition 2008 by Yves Saint Laurent delivers a bold blast of spiced cloves, dark stewed plum, and sun-warmed resins. Built on the iconic spicy DNA created by Jean Amic and Jean-Louis Sieuzac, this limited release opens with fiery black pepper and sharp mandarin orange before settling into velvety carnation, warm cinnamon, and rich sandalwood. The base rests on thick golden amber, smoky opoponax, and sweet vanilla that clings to wool coats for over twelve hours. It is an unapologetic, evening-ready powerhouse tailored for cold autumn nights, holiday dinner parties, and confident wearers who love deep vintage warmth over modern sugary florals. Show less

Yves Saint Laurent Opium (1977) opens like a warm, crackling hearth on a freezing winter night. The first spray hits with a sharp burst of dried clove buds, fresh black pepper, and dark plum before mellowing into rich cinnamon, spicy red carnation, and creamy sandalwood. As it settles on warm skin, deep frankincense, golden amber, and smooth myrrh take over, leaving a rich, resinous trail that hangs in the air for hours. This is an unapologetic powerhouse from the golden era of spicy amber fragrances. It smells smoky, sweet, and intensely cozy, making it ideal for brisk autumn days, freezing winter nights, and dressed-up evening gatherings where you want a memorable presence. Show less

Opium Francês 1977 opens with a sharp burst of dried plum, fiery cloves, and bitter tangerine. The initial citrus quickly gives way to a dense heart of cinnamon, carnation, and patchouli, creating a heavy spicy atmosphere reminiscent of vintage perfumery. As hours pass, rich resins take over the base, led by opoponax, tolu balsam, and smoky incense. This fragrance feels thick and unapologetically dark. It shines best on freezing winter nights, clinging to heavy wool coats and leather jackets. If you enjoy vintage spice bombs with serious weight, this bold oriental composition offers immense warmth and impressive persistence. Show less
