Walden Perfumes launched A Gentle Rain in 2020 as a 100 percent natural botanical creation. The scent starts with a rich, damp hit of oakmoss, dark patchouli, and resinous labdanum. Instead of a bright citrus burst, the opening feels dark, wet, and forest-floor heavy. Bergamot and rose de mai simmer beneath the surface, adding a faint floral crispness without turning sweet. As the fragrance warms on skin, powdery orris root and creamy sandalwood smooth out the coarse edges.
