SALTANAT by Perito Moreno opens with a sharp burst of lime, lemon, and bergamot before shifting into a dense heart of clove leaf, roasted coffee, and gaiac wood. As the initial citrus crispness recedes, the fragrance exposes a heavy base dominated by Indian oud, Thailand oud, labdanum, and animalic civet. Sandalwood and cedarwood provide a dry timber frame, while ambergris adds a salty marine warmth under the spices. Created by perfumer Nitish Dixit as an attar formulation, SALTANAT presents a stark contrast between bright top notes and dark resinous depth. The citrus top keeps the heavy woods from becoming muddy during the first hour of wear. It suits cold evening wear, crisp autumn leather jackets, and formal winter gatherings where heavy oriental woods command space.
