As the initial sharpness burns off, sweet pineapple and damask rose soften the bitter edges without turning the composition sugary. Warm amber, bitter almond, and earthy patchouli emerge in the heart to give the woody accord a thick, resinous base. On cold winter evenings or during formal outdoor gatherings, a single spray projects across several feet and clings tenaciously to wool coats and heavy fabrics.
