Carbon Sapphire opens with a sharp burst of Bulgarian rose and herbal geranium before settling into a dense heart of Rose de Mai and bittersweet saffron. As the fragrance warms on skin, smoky Oud Assafi combines with earthy cypriol oil, dark guaiac wood, and dry amber to create a heavy resinous aura. The texture feels thick and velvety rather than bright or airy. It demands freezing winter air or black-tie evening events where strong projection makes sense. The underlying sandalwood and cashmere wood soften the smoky woodiness during the late hours, keeping the dark rose note intact across a long evening. Show less
