Tea Rose by Perfumer's Workshop opens with an intense spray of fresh stems and sharp green petals. Launched in 1977, this formula centers around a loud heart of Bulgarian rose, Damask rose, and tea rose accord. Chamomile and peony add a bitter, herbal sharpness to the opening rather than soft sweetness. As the scent settles, spicy geranium and green violet leaves cut through the heavy floral volume, keeping the rose crisp, wet, and prickly. A thin base of cedarwood provides structure without turning woody. It smells like stepping directly into a florist's walk-in cooler, surrounded by wet thorns and freshly clipped stems. Show less
