Green Tara is one of those Ava Luxe fragrances where the note list only tells part of the story. On paper it looks wide and crowded, with lavender, oud, sandalwood, patchouli, amber, benzoin, labdanum, rose, citrus, vetiver, musk and spice. On skin, the reviews point to something more focused: a warm aromatic amber built around woods, resins, patchouli and a green, meditative opening.

The first impression can split in a few directions. Some wearers get patchouli and spice right away, with a vintage amber warmth that recalls classic rich perfumes without the sharper incense edge. Others notice lavender and oud together, where the lavender feels fresh and bright rather than bitter, and the oud reads smoky rather than rubbery or medicinal. There are also mentions of geranium, vetiver, lemongrass and pepper adding a dry green texture around the warmer base.

The dry-down is where Green Tara seems to win over many of its fans. Amber, benzoin, labdanum, musk and sandalwood soften the edges, creating a cozy, slightly sweet warmth. One reviewer describes a powdery softness, while another specifically says the later stage avoids becoming a powdery lavender. That contrast is useful for buyers: Green Tara may feel soft, but it is not guaranteed to behave like a classic powdery lavender scent.

Patchouli is the main risk. In the perfume oil version, one wearer found a huge amount of patchouli with rose and sandalwood, and little lavender. Another found the patchouli extremely well blended in the EDP, with more of the aromatic and resinous detail coming through. That makes sampling especially sensible if you are choosing between formats or if patchouli usually dominates on your skin.

Performance looks like a strength. The community wear data leans long lasting, and reviewers call out excellent longevity. Projection appears more controlled than loud, usually moderate, with the oil sitting closer when dabbed and potentially feeling larger when sprayed. This is useful longevity rather than room-filling force, which fits the calm, enveloping character people describe.

Green Tara is best approached as a warm, aromatic, resinous comfort scent with a spiritual, meditative mood rather than as a clean lavender cologne or a straightforward oud perfume. It can suit weekends, cooler weather, relaxed evenings and days when you want a scent that stays with you without demanding constant attention. If your taste runs toward amber woods, patchouli, soft smoke and herbal brightness, it is worth sampling. If you need lavender to be obvious, or you dislike earthy patchouli, try before committing.
