Calling All Angels by April Aromatics opens with a dense rush of raw incense and thick honey, skipping traditional top notes entirely. Perfumer Tanja Bochnig built this 100 percent natural formulation around a deep resinous heart of olibanum, opoponax, and dark benzoin. As it warms on skin, a subtle rose otto softens the heavy balsam, while a foundation of labdanum, vanilla, and tonka bean provides a dry, smoky sweetness. It feels dark, sticky, and medicinal during the first twenty minutes before settling into a warm amber cloud.
