Enchanted Forest opens with a burst of crushed black currant leaf, tart black currant blossom, and cold red wine. French perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour builds this 2012 creation around the entire black currant bush, balancing raw greenery with rich fruitiness. As the sharp opening settles, earthy vetiver and crushed coriander seed emerge alongside subtle honeysuckle. The base anchors the composition in damp balsam fir, dark oakmoss, resinous opoponax, and soft cedar. It smells like a shadowy coniferous forest after autumn rain, damp, woody, and slightly medicinal. Show less

Baz by The Spirit of Dubai hits skin with a massive blast of dark leather, cracked black pepper, and bitter coffee. It settles into a heavy resinous core dominated by smoky incense, myrrh, and sweet plum. As the hours pass, dense agarwood, civet, and raw castoreum emerge to create a dry, animalic base that stays noticeable until the next morning. This is an uncompromising winter fragrance built for frigid evenings and formal dark-tie gatherings. It demands cold air to keep its thick balsam and earthy patchouli under control. One spray on a wool coat lingers for days. Show less

Amaranthine is a creamy, green, spiced floral with a famously intimate edge. Reviewers describe milk, green banana leaf, ylang-ylang, tea, cardamom and soft musk, moving from humid tropical greenery into a warmer, skin-like dry-down. It is beautiful to some and difficult to others. Sample first if lactonic notes, cumin-like warmth, animalic skin scents, or odd green florals can turn sour on you. Show less
