Pnoi opens with a sharp burst of Calabrian bergamot, bitter petitgrain, and wet violet leaves. As the top notes settle, the heart turns into a powdery floral texture driven by Tuscan orris butter, sweet mimosa, and indolic jasmine. The dry down drops into dark leather, birch tar smoke, beeswax, and castoreum. Created by Greek perfumer Angelos Balamis in a 26 percent concentration, this extraits-level blend moves slowly on skin. It suits chilly autumn afternoons and damp spring evenings when heavy leather and green foliage can breathe without stifling the room.
