Panache by Taylor of London opens with a sharp fizz of aldehydes backed by herbal coriander, crushed thyme, and a bright splash of lemon. As the initial citrus sparkle quiets, a traditional floral heart emerges on skin, combining soapy rose, green geranium, and heady ylang-ylang. The base grounds the florals in dry oakmoss, clean musk, and earthy myrrh, giving the composition a clean, retro soapiness reminiscent of classic British bath products. This fragrance wears best during cool spring mornings and crisp autumn days when the air gives the green, mossy accords room to breathe. It stays structured and dry on skin rather than turning sweet or dense, making it an easy pick for casual daywear, office environments, or relaxed weekend errands. Show less

The dry-down relies heavily on oakmoss and musk, creating a woody, mossy foundation that clings to the skin for hours. This is a cold-weather scent best suited for crisp autumn afternoons or formal spring daytime gatherings when you want a clean, pressed shirt feeling. It suits collectors of traditional French-style perfumery, making it a great cheap thrill to sample. Show less

It suits someone who enjoys complex, mature perfumes more than easy crowd-pleasers. The rose, resins and woods can read quite unisex, especially once the sweeter opening fades. Show less
