OT - 23 by Olfattology hits the skin with a sharp, medicinal burst of saffron and bitter orange before settling into an unexpected oceanic floral haze. This unisex composition plays a strange game of tug-of-war between cold sea notes and warm, smoky resins like myrrh and gurjan balsam. Unlike typical marine scents that rely on bright citrus or clean laundry musks, this one uses cypriol and agarwood to ground the watery accords in something damp, earthy, and metallic. It is a challenging option that sits comfortably on cool spring days or foggy autumn afternoons. If you want a clean office scent, look elsewhere, but if you appreciate dark, salty woods, this is worth a sample. Show less

Dickens in Varanasi by THEN THERE opens with a sharp burst of bitter grapefruit, herbal chamomile, and spicy elemi resin. As the initial brightness settles, a heavy heart of saffron, dark patchouli, and warm cinnamon takes over on skin. The dry down anchors on smoky incense, earthy vetiver, and bitter oud lightly softened by vanilla. Perfumer Angela Ciampagna contrasts bright aromatic herbs against dense resinous woods. Wear it during late autumn evenings or crisp winter nights when you want a rich amber scent with a dry, medicinal finish. Show less
