Innocuous Oud by MOH opens with a punch of cracked black pepper, earthy saffron, and a sharp splash of tart raspberry. Rather than smelling like syrupy candy, the fruit note behaves like tart fruit skins pressed against dry wood. As the fragrance settles, warm frankincense and rich myrrh create a resinous, smoky core balanced by clean geranium. The deep dry-down reveals dark oud wood, dry cedarwood, and earthy patchouli wrapped in warm musk and a distinct hint of worn leather. It gives off the comforting feel of an antique cedar bookshop mixed with warm incense and a heavy leather jacket.
