Le Temps de Reines by ID Parfums is a vintage-style oriental woody perfume centered on dry spices, green geranium, and a remarkably creamy sandalwood base. Christopher Sheldrake composed this formula in 1998. It shows his signature love for brooding cedarwood tones and warm benzoin resin. The opening hits with a sharp, medicinal burst of pungent geranium leaf and cracked culinary spices before softening rapidly into earthy patchouli. It does not smell like modern sugar-heavy department store releases. Instead, you get a dry, comforting warmth that feels intimate, rustic, and grounded. The drydown wraps the skin in powdery amber and smooth resinous woods. Wear it during crisp autumn afternoons or quiet winter evenings by a reading lamp. It is refined, understated, and refreshingly grown-up.
