Guru Deva by House of Orpheus is a dark, meditative oriental blend centered around raw agarwood oud, golden saffron, and smoky olibanum resin. Created by perfumer Marcus McCoy in 2014, the scent opens with a sharp, medicinal burst of dark wood and dry spice before softening into a rich pool of warm amber incense. McCoy famously infused this creation with an alchemical oil of gold, which gives the deep balsamic resins a curious, bright metallic gleam on the skin.
