Dawn Spencer Hurwitz builds this fragrance around a bold contrast of bright citruses, biting black pepper, and ripe dark blackberry. The opening kicks off with a sharp burst of bergamot and cracked peppercorns before plunging into a warm heart of clove bud, Bulgarian rose, and sweet benzoin. As the initial heat calms, earthy patchouli, golden amber, and dry frankincense take complete control. It feels dense, intimate, and unmistakably retro. You get zero synthetic candy sweetness here.
