Chouette Vierge No. 4 by Chouette Vierge Parfumée is a dark, enveloping fragrance built around rugged jacket leather and bitter dark chocolate. The opening releases a sharp burst of lemon peel, bergamot, and sweet ylang-ylang before dipping quickly into an indulgent heart. Here, rich notes of spiced rum, dark cocoa, roasted coffee beans, and sticky caramel merge over a spine of earthy patchouli and green cypress. A base of bourbon vanilla, smoky vetiver, and powdery heliotrope creates a dense, comforting trail. It feels like ducking into a dimly lit espresso bar while wearing a well-oiled motorcycle jacket on a freezing November evening. Best suited for autumn and winter nights, this scent projects serious presence without smelling like a run of the mill dessert. Show less
