Ladanika Leshy opens with a damp shock of mushrooms, dried fallen leaves, and cold earth, capturing the scent of a northern forest floor in late October. As it warms on skin, the dampness settles into a dry walnut shell and dark patchouli woodiness. Dmitry Pashenko designed this to smell less like a bottle of perfume and more like the actual air of a misty woodland. It is a highly atmospheric scent, drying down to ink-dark oakmoss, vetiver, and a unexpected drop of sweet maple syrup that keeps the base from turning too bleak. If you enjoy damp, earthy forest scents, this is a compelling option to sample, but its hyper-realistic mold-and-soil opening makes it a risky blind buy. Show less
