Masquerade Cologne by Prince Matchabelli is a vintage floral aldehyde fragrance that delivers a crisp, complex profile rooted in classic 1970 perfumery. The opening brings a bright burst of bergamot and lemon sharpened by sparkling aldehydes, brisk green notes, and a faint hint of velvety peach. As the initial brightness settles, a dense bouquet of jasmine, carnation, rose, and powdery iris emerges alongside earthy vetiver and smooth sandalwood. The dry-down turns deeply warm and resinous, anchored by moss, benzoin, ambergris, opoponax, and civet. Because of its musky, woody base and animalic undertones, it feels much richer than modern colognes, making it best suited for cooler days and retro scent enthusiasts.
