Spray this on paper and you get an immediate blast of solvent. Give it two minutes. The alcohol lifts to reveal sharp Italian bergamot alongside bitter orange peel, cutting through the air like a cold blade. It feels bracing and brisk. Then, earthy Indonesian patchouli surfaces with serious intent, flanked by powdery yellow mimosa blossoms and dry resinous woods. There is zero candy syrup here. As body heat warms the skin, golden Siam benzoin and creamy sandalwood construct a grounded, smooth balsamic shelter that endures all afternoon. It is dry, textured, and deeply composed. Two sprays provide steady warmth through freezing November afternoons and quiet dinner dates. Show less

The dry-down looks built around cedar, cashmere wood, labdanum and soft leather, so this may suit someone who likes fruity florals with spice, depth and a slightly powdery finish rather. Show less
