1953 by Aromas de Salazar opens with a sharp burst of bergamot, zesty tangerine, and dark plum, laced with coriander and saffron. As the top notes settle, the scent shifts into a heavy spice core dominated by black pepper, cinnamon, and clove. Green carnation and earthy Indonesian patchouli add texture, preventing the sweetness from cloying. The dry-down settles into dark resins, featuring styrax, myrrh, and smoky opoponax over a leathered castoreum and oakmoss base. It is a dense, warm spicy composition built for cold weather, night events, and tailored wool coats. Show less

1917 by Aromas de Salazar opens with a sharp burst of Calabrian bergamot, citron, and warm nutmeg before settling into a dense oakmoss and labdanum base. Moroccan rose and Tunisian neroli soften the bite in the heart, while civet and black spruce lend an unrefined, vintage gravity. It suits cool autumn afternoons, crisp evenings, and tailoring.
