Rosendo Mateu NO 4 Saffron, Oud, Vanilla opens with a sharp flash of bitter orange blossom and Calabrian bergamot before dropping straight into dense spices. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and bittersweet saffron coat the heart, giving the opening a fiery warmth. As it dries down, the scent shifts into dark agarwood, earthy patchouli, and resinous benzoin softened by sweet vanilla. The wood profile feels dry and slightly medicinal early on, but the amber and labdanum foundation smooths out the rough edges over time. It wears best in cold winter air, sub-zero evenings, or formal indoor gatherings where strong spicy woods cut through crisp drafts. Show less
