L'Eau De Marius opens with a sharp burst of cracked black pepper, pink berries, and bitter Provencal fennel. The initial blast feels medicinal and raw, immediately signaling that this is an unapologetic herbal composition rather than a crowd-pleasing fresh spicy scent. As the top notes quiet down, licorice root and nutmeg emerge alongside a dry red rose, creating a warm, bittersweet heart with a distinct culinary edge. The base dries down into clean white musk, earthy moss, and a faint ribbon of unlit tobacco leaf wrapped in sweet tonka bean. It works best on crisp autumn afternoons when cold air cuts through the heavy aniseed warmth. Show less

Baz by The Spirit of Dubai hits skin with a massive blast of dark leather, cracked black pepper, and bitter coffee. It settles into a heavy resinous core dominated by smoky incense, myrrh, and sweet plum. As the hours pass, dense agarwood, civet, and raw castoreum emerge to create a dry, animalic base that stays noticeable until the next morning. This is an uncompromising winter fragrance built for frigid evenings and formal dark-tie gatherings. It demands cold air to keep its thick balsam and earthy patchouli under control. One spray on a wool coat lingers for days. Show less

It reads classic, aromatic and slightly mysterious rather than clean or modern-fresh, and may suit buyers who enjoy forested, spicy masculines with an old-school backbone. Show less

Malbec Gold (2020) by O Boticário opens with a crisp burst of juicy red apple and zesty ginger, spiced with crushed black pepper. The initial punch quickly gives way to the signature Malbec red wine accord, swirling with warm cinnamon, orange blossom, and smooth leather. As the hours tick by, the base settles into a thick blend of golden amberwood, sweet vanilla, and smoky frankincense. It smells rich, inviting, and deep, reminiscent of spiced mulled wine enjoyed next to a crackling fireplace on a freezing night. This is an assertive scent designed for crisp autumn days and cold winter nights when you want your cologne to cut right through the chilly air. Show less

La Via delle Spezie reads as a dry, spice-led woody musk with a bright citrus lift at the top. Nutmeg, coriander and pepper do most of the talking early, then patchouli, cedar, cashmeran and musk give it a smoother, more textured dry-down. It looks best suited to shoppers who enjoy aromatic spice over sweetness. Sample first if cumin and clove can feel. Show less
