Al Oudh by L'Artisan Parfumeur is an intimate, spicy oriental scent centered on warm caraway, dried dates, and smoldering woods. Created by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, the fragrance opens with a sharp flash of culinary cumin and pink pepper that quickly softens into sticky dried fruit sweetness. A sheer ribbon of agarwood and incense threads through the center, wrapped in smooth leather and dusty saffron. Rather than a heavy or medicinal Middle Eastern blast, it wears surprisingly light and warm against the skin. The base settles into a cozy mix of civetta, vanilla, and creamy sandalwood that feels distinctly human, musky, and lived-in.
