Baz by The Spirit of Dubai hits skin with a massive blast of dark leather, cracked black pepper, and bitter coffee. It settles into a heavy resinous core dominated by smoky incense, myrrh, and sweet plum. As the hours pass, dense agarwood, civet, and raw castoreum emerge to create a dry, animalic base that stays noticeable until the next morning. This is an uncompromising winter fragrance built for frigid evenings and formal dark-tie gatherings. It demands cold air to keep its thick balsam and earthy patchouli under control. One spray on a wool coat lingers for days. Show less

This is the kind of scent that may suit shoppers who enjoy bold Middle Eastern gourmands with a fruity top and a smoky, woody base. Sampling first makes sense if heavy. Show less

Burlington 1819 opens with a vivid rush of grapefruit, lime and mint, then dries into woods, tobacco, ambergris and a lightly boozy warmth. It feels polished, bright and grown-up rather than playful. Reviews often praise the quality and the long-lasting citrus effect, but the cumin nuance can turn sweaty or bitter on some skin. Sample first if you are sensitive to sharp. Show less

Within twenty minutes, the initial citrus blast settles into a warm heart of ginger, spiced rum, and cashmere wood. The dry-down relies on dark patchouli, ambergris, and labdanum, creating a grounded finish for warm spring afternoons and summer evenings. Show less
