Amber by Voyageur Oud opens with a heavy burst of bittersweet saffron and dark plum. The tartness of the fruit cuts through the spice early before a dense heart of black pepper, dry leather, and dark rose takes over. As it settles onto skin, the composition dries down into a base of smoky olibanum resin, oak, and warm vanilla bean. Sandalwood gives the dry woodiness a soft foundation without smothering the crisp leather texture. It wears best during cold autumn evenings and chilly winter nights when the warm spicy warmth can breathe in cool air. Show less
