Assala Prime Royal Jasmine subverts expectations right from the first spray. Despite the name, jasmine does not drive this composition. Instead, tart rhubarb and juicy litchi crash over a rich core of Turkish rose and peony, spiked with bright grapefruit. As the top notes settle, smoky incense and warm amber rise from underneath, turning a fresh floral start into a resinous, moody dry-down. Vanilla and oakmoss anchor the base, giving the skin a bittersweet trail that lasts late into the evening. It suits crisp autumn afternoons and chilly spring nights when you want a fruity floral with serious spine. Show less
